In June 2005 Etienne de Villiers was appointed non-executive Chairman of the ATP. In January 2006 the ATP announced that the former Disney executive would assume broader and full-time responsibilities as Executive Chairman/President, focusing on strategy and Board governance.
"I have truly enjoyed my close involvement and interaction with the ATP Board, players, tournament directors and the ATP senior management team," de Villiers said. "I've been hands on from the beginning to learn more about the ATP and tennis, and what I've learned is that I can be more effective if I'm more actively involved. I'm obviously honored that the Board took this step, and I will not let them down."
Said Perry Rogers, Andre Agassi's long-time manager and a player representative on the ATP Board: "Etienne's leadership is essential for the ATP as we embark on a new direction for this game. He was hired last year based on his previous experience at Disney and elsewhere. We have decided to expand his role to full-time because of the immediate positive impact and boost that he has provided this organization over the past six months." Added Pasarell, whose tenure on the Board dates back to 1990: "Etienne's a charismatic businessman who's all about building a great team and inspiring them to perform at a high level. That's what we need right now, and I'm glad he's willing to do what's needed to make it happen."
The Board initially planned to hire a Chairman and CEO to replace outgoing CEO Mark Miles, who retired at the end of 2005. Instead, de Villiers will oversee a small office of ATP executives in London and work with regional CEOs in the three ATP offices in Monte-Carlo, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and Sydney. Those three CEOs are Brad Drewett (International), Horst Klosterkemper (Europe) and Mark Young (Americas), who will continue to serve as the ATP General Counsel.
In addition to his role as the head of the ATP, Etienne is a non-executive Chairman of the BBC's Commercial Holdings Board. From 1986-2000, Etienne served in a variety of senior executive capacities for The Walt Disney Company, including as President and Managing Director of Walt Disney International Europe based in London, where he was responsible for directing and coordinating all Disney's activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He was President of Walt Disney Television International from 1994-2000, responsible for international free and pay television including all production and broadcasting activities of The Walt Disney Company outside the U.S., and Managing Director of The Walt Disney Company Limited in the U.K. from 1988-2000. When Etienne departed in 2000, Disney's international TV business for which he was responsible had a turnover of approximately $1 billion directly employing 800 people (1,400 including joint ventures) having grown from six employees and revenues of $15 million when he joined in 1986.
Etienne was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa, and graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1970 with a Civil Engineering degree. He received a Rhodes scholarship and read PPE (politics, philosophy and economics) at Oxford University from 1971 till 1974.
Etienne represented either or both Oxford and the University of Pretoria at golf, rugby, cricket and football. He also played tennis and, while not exactly International Tennis Hall of Fame material, he was a member of the victorious Trinity College team in the University's intercollegiate competition in 1973.

Residence: Epe, Netherlands
Career Summary: Won four singles titles in Manchester in 1992, Atlanta in 1993, Kuala Lumpur and Schenectady in 1994. He won 44 doubles titles, including all four Grand Slams. He reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 19 and No. 1 in doubles before retiring at the end of 1998.
Eltingh is a native of Heerde, Netherlands and manages Eltingh Haarhuis Tennis Events with former doubles partner, Paul Haarhuis. The Dutch-based organization seeks to promote the sport through tennis camps, clinics and events, most recently organizing the Delta Tournament of Champions' Eindhoven event in October, one of the most successful events on the ATP Champions Tour, in which Eltingh served as co-tournament director.
ATP Involvement: Elected ATP Board as European representative in November 2005.

Residence: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
Profile: Rogers is best known to players and tennis fans as the agent of Andre Agassi. The Las Vegas native is currently the President of Agassi Enterprises, the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation and Prism Sports Management. Over the past 12 years, Rogers has made his mark on the world of sports through his innovative marketing and fundraising efforts, including the production and coordination of Agassi's annual fundraising event that has raised over $50 million since inception. Rogers' Prism Sports Management represent such athletes as Steffi Graf, NBA player Shaquille O'Neal, IRL drive Helio Castroneves and golfer Adam Scott.
ATP Involvement: Elected ATP Board as Americas representative in November 2005.

Residence: Sydney, Australia
Profile: Iggy Jovanovic is a former ATP Communications Director who was elected to serve on the ATP Board beginning January 1, 2006. Jovanovic played on the ATP Tour between 1987-90 and 1995-96. Throughout the 1990s he built, owned and operated tennis businesses at private clubs in Sydney, Australia. Since 2003 he has served as a Board Director of Sydney-based property investment company Longueville Holdings and since 2005 he has been a Board member of Australian charity Band Together (The charity assists families but specifically children affected with autism and/or cerebral palsy). During his employment with the ATP, Jovanovic served from both the Sydney and London offices. His areas of responsibility included communications and PR, sales and commercial business in the Asian & Middle Eastern regions.
ATP Involvement: Former player and ATP Communications Director. Began serving as Players' Board Representative for the International region in January 2006.

我们花很多时间和所有球员交谈了解他们的想法，因此没有很多空余的时间。
这已经是我在球员协会第三届任职了，能成为主席是我的荣幸。
